- Fairfield Emerging Communities Action Partnership

The partnership consists of three convening organisations: Fairfield
Migrant Resource Centre, Fairfield City Council, and Fairfield Multicultural
Health Service. The partnership was initiated in 2000. The Action Partnership
is also resourced and supported by Anglicare Migrant Services, Centrelink
(Fairfield and Cabramatta offices), Fairfield City Library,
Fairfield Local Area Command (Police), AMES Employment, and South-West
Sydney Institute of TAFE.
To date, FECAP has held consultations with the Sudanese and Iranian
communities and is currently conducting a literature search towards
the development of an emerging community profile/catalogue for Fairfield.
This catalogue will be useful for future service planning and addressing
issues pertinent to those groups, and also identify what is known about
needs,
issues and gaps in service provision.
Fairfield Emerging Communities Action Partnership (FECAP) is a community-based
partnership designed to:
· assist the emerging communities of Fairfield with the development
of social/cultural infrastructure &
· build linkages between these communities and mainstream service
providers.
